About The Position
Turing is hiring remote Biology Experts for contract assignments supporting cutting-edge AI projects with leading AI labs. Experts use their biology knowledge to help fine-tune large language models, assess their performance, and develop better benchmarks. Assignments have defined start and end dates and may involve up to 40 hours per week. Pay is $100+ per hour, depending on the role and candidate expertise. Shortlisted candidates complete an evaluation before selection. No AI experience is required. Turing is based in San Francisco, California, and describes itself as a research accelerator for frontier AI labs and a partner to global enterprises deploying advanced AI systems. Requirements
- A PhD, completed or in progress, in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Strong biology reasoning and problem-solving skills across advanced domains.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in writing and provide structured feedback.
- No AI experience is required.
Responsibilities

- Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy and quality of reasoning.
