We are looking for a Biologist to provide support services to NIH NCI/CCR. This position is a full-time position located in Bethesda, Maryland. The role involves devising highly specialized research procedures, designing research studies, and searching scientific literature for new methods. The biologist will conduct quality assurance reviews, design and execute research projects involving myeloid cell differentiation, characterization, and function, and perform various laboratory techniques. They will also conduct cell culture, support animal models, assist in basic laboratory experiments, maintain samples, supplies, and equipment, and learn new techniques. Calibration and operation of laboratory instruments, coordination of analysis and interpretation of experimental data, and preparation of scientific summaries, reports, manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations are key responsibilities. Additionally, the role includes training laboratory staff, maintaining laboratory inventory, monitoring supplies, ensuring proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, enforcing safe laboratory practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and monitoring and maintaining laboratory equipment.
