Serve as Biological Technician SME for Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) Center for Infectious Disease Research (CIDR). Assist PI with the safe and effective scientific and administration of the laboratory and supporting staff. Knowledgeable on and experienced in mammalian cell culture; in performing molecular methods (cloning, expression, qPCR, etc); as well as in producing and purifying mRNA and recombinant protein products. Trained in small rodent handling techniques to include blood collection, immunization and dissection. Experienced in good laboratory practices and performing immunological assays to assess immune responses (such as ELISA, IFA, ELISpot,etc.) to support DHA relevant projects. Track and maintain status of supply/reagent/sample and equipment inventories. Experience with writing and revising SOPs, risk assessments and study reports/summaries. Manage notebooks, data files, and perform data analysis using basic stats or graphic programs. Possession of strong organization and project management skills. Demonstrable ability to troubleshoot. Proven record of oral and written communication.
