This role is for a Biological Scientist Journeyman to join a laboratory immediately to conduct research in the field of virology and vaccine development with a focus on swine and avian influenza. The Biological Scientist Journeyman will contribute to the generation and validation of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) – Candidate Vaccine Viruses (CVVs) for delivery to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This includes the delivery of records and other quality documents and any other relevant information associated with the CVV. Your work environment will be in the Disease Intervention & Prevention at the Texas Biomedical Research Institute. Texas Biomedical Research Institute is the only private, non-profit infectious disease research facility, providing high containment research capabilities (BSL3 & BSL4) alongside a National Primate Research Center. You will report to our collaborators Cherokee Nation Operational Solutions.
