About The Position
McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for a Biologic/Infusion Billing Specialist for its Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients. Responsibilities include performing duties related to pharmaceutical billing, specific physician coding and clinic charging procedures in accordance with McFarland Clinic’s Employee-Level Vision Related Behaviors. Duties include auditing daily charges for infusional therapies, insurance precertification of infusional drugs, counseling patients on cost estimates of treatment, and enrolling patients in financial assistance programs as applicable. The role also serves as a coding and reimbursement resource for providers and nurses. Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or HiSET.
- Minimum of 2 years in medical experience with exposure to coding activities.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in business or related field preferred.
