About The Position

We are hiring a Registered Infusion Nurse (RN) for our Hematology/Oncology Clinic at our East Hospital location in Lee's Summit, Missouri. This is a full-time day shift position working Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role involves providing infusion nursing care in a busy hematology and oncology infusion center at the St. Luke's East campus. The RN functions independently, is accountable for utilizing the nursing process, and coordinates patient care with the Multidisciplinary Team. Responsibilities include delegating tasks, identifying hospital resources, serving as a clinical resource for new employees, demonstrating leadership, scheduling emergent-need appointments, and providing patient education. The RN will be a subject matter expert in their specialty for hospital RNs and will collaborate with other disciplines to share best practices. This role involves face-to-face patient contact, with patient care typically for those undergoing long-term treatment processes. The work is generally performed within a specialty clinic setting. The ideal candidate will have strong IV skills, good time management, and the ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment in a busy infusion center. Occasional weekend and holiday coverage is required.

Requirements

• 1 year of applicable experience
• Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
• Associate Degree

Nice To Haves

• Oncology or infusion experience preferred
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required but can be obtained after hire.
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
