About The Position
McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for a Biologic/Infusion Billing Specialist for its Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or HiSET.
- Minimum of 2 years in medical experience with exposure to coding activities.
- Service-oriented.
- Team player.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in business or related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performing duties related to pharmaceutical billing, specific physician coding and clinic charging procedures in accordance with McFarland Clinic’s Employee-Level Vision Related Behaviors.
- Audit daily charges for infusional therapies.
- Insurance Precertification of infusional drugs.
- Counsel patient on cost estimate of treatment.
- Enroll patients in financial assistance programs as applicable.
- Serve as a coding and reimbursement resource for the providers and nurses.
