About The Position
Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) is seeking a highly-motivated scientist for a temporary internship position within the CRISPR Applications and Market Development Department. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience working with a cross-functional wet-lab/dry-lab team, supporting NGS and CRISPR product development efforts. Bioinformatics projects will focus on sophisticated data analysis, utility creation, and software tool development for internal use. The position can be performed on-site in Coralville, Iowa, or remotely.
Requirements
- Actively pursuing or having a degree in Bioinformatics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- 2 years’ experience in Linux and Python.
Nice To Haves
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in bioinformatics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- Previous experience in Bioinformatics, software development, biochemical and clinical laboratory work.
- Previous experience in Statistical analysis, DNA sequencing, genomics, biochemistry, design of DNA assays, and CRISPR.
- Location near Coralville, Iowa.
Responsibilities
- Create bioinformatics software tools using one or more programming languages.
- Analyze biological and chemical scientific data.
- Communicate results with bioinformatics and experimental product development teams.
