About The Position

Predicine, Inc. in Hayward, CA seeks a Bioinformatics Analyst to work with labs to conduct and perform bioinformatics analysis on the company’s Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) pipeline data and develop and validate biomedical models and programs. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust clinical reporting systems and data transfer solutions that support oncology diagnostics and global clinical studies. The Bioinformatics Analyst will play a central role in transforming complex genomic and clinical datasets into accurate, reproducible, and regulatory-compliant reports, with a strong emphasis on report generation and Data Transfer Specification (DTS) support.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Bioinformatics, Data Science, Computational Biology, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with clinical data reporting, especially in NGS or oncology contexts.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R and/or Python.
  • Experience with data pipeline development, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and workflow automation.
  • Familiarity with DTS, DTA, and clinical data exchange standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and scalable data systems.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in clinical reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated pipelines for generating clinical and study reports.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent delivery of patient-level (CLIA) and study-level outputs.
  • Support mock data/report generation, validation, and continuous improvement of reporting workflows.
  • Collaborate with clinical and laboratory teams to define reporting requirements and standards.
  • Lead the development and implementation of DTS and Data Transfer Agreements (DTAs) in collaboration with the project management team.
  • Translate DTS requirements into scalable data transformation logic and reporting pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and tools for both test and production data transfers.
  • Provide ongoing support and enhancement for internal DTS platforms and infrastructure.
  • Ensure data integrity, traceability, and reproducibility across reporting systems.
  • Develop and maintain validation frameworks in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support audit readiness and documentation for regulated clinical reporting.
  • Contribute to internal automation and AI initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve the scalability of reporting systems.
