About The Position

The Bioinformatics Core within the Division of Health Informatics in the Department of Pediatrics is looking for a full-time Bioinformatics Programmer/Analyst with a strong background in next-generation sequencing data analysis. Ideally, the candidate will provide support in designing, developing, and deploying robust bioinformatics workflows to support the analysis of high-throughput sequencing data generated from acute brain injury research. Activities occur with a moderate degree of supervision, and the candidate should demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

  • Strong background in next-generation sequencing data analysis.
  • Previous knowledge in the use of high-performance computing cluster (Linux environment).
  • Programming in R.

Nice To Haves

  • B.S. in bioinformatics, computational biology, biomedical engineering, or computer science.
