About The Position

Trauma Services is seeking motivated Biohazard Remediation Technicians to help families, businesses, and homeowners restore properties after tragic incidents. The role involves a range of remediation and cleanup work, including blood and death-scene cleanup, crime-scene cleanup, chemical and drug cleanup, hoarding and squalor remediation, jail-cell and cruiser cleanup, and medical-waste and needle pickup and disposal. The ideal candidate is hardworking, versatile, hands-on, and able to lead a wide range of jobs.

This is a full-time position with every other weekend off. The role requires availability for off-hours and on-call work, overnight stays, and overtime. Compensation starts at $27 per hour depending on experience and job type; travel time is paid, and significant overtime opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Be honest, hardworking, and trustworthy.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Be in good physical health and able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Pass a breathing test.
• Be able to work off-hours and on-call, stay overnight, and work overtime.
• Be versatile and handy, and comfortable working with power tools.
• Own a mobile phone.
• Be able to obtain a DOT card.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Have a clean driving record and be able to pass a CORI check.
• Have a GED, high school diploma, industry experience, or military experience.
• Have experience using demolition tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in restoration, biohazard cleanup, or the construction industry.
• Veteran status; veterans are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Clean up and remove blood, bodily fluids, and materials from death scenes.
• Perform crime-scene cleanup.
• Clean up and remove chemical substances and drugs.
• Perform hoarding and squalor remediation.
• Clean jail cells and cruisers.
• Pick up and dispose of medical waste and needles.
• Lead a wide range of different jobs.
