Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in a related major)
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Leadership experience
  • 4+ years related lab experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an independent, self-motivated, detail-oriented, result-driven and highly flexible team-player in a fast-paced working environment
  • Strong focus on quality, teamwork, and productivity
  • Proactive, positive, solution-oriented leadership style with ability to prioritize and coordinate simultaneous projects with varying deadlines

  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and grow up flasks of culture
  • Read flask cell densities on the Vi-Cell and calculate passage volumes
  • Set up WAVE Bioreactors
  • Set up 50L SUBs
  • Sample WAVEs and SUBs
  • Order feeds and media for flasks and bioreactors
  • Set up feeds and feed bioreactors
  • Set up harvests and harvest bioreactors, with or without concentration, and deliver to purification
  • General lab cleanup and maintenance (cleanup after harvest, take out fiber drums, recycle media bottles)
  • Inventory management of lab consumables and enter into app
  • Support work involving cell line generation for new molecules, HEK/AAV development, and sequencing for stability
  • Adhering to Good Documentation Practices
  • Maintenance of a clean and safe working environment
  • Ability to work independently and accurately with minimal supervision
  • Coach, train, and develop others within the group with respect to their personal development and effective implementation of operational improvements
  • Coordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet TAT
  • Prepare and review job plans, conduct semiannual performance reviews, keep training records up to date for assigned employees, perform succession planning in preparation for growth
  • Collaborate closely with leaders and clients in implementing overall business directives
