About The Position

Diazyme Laboratories, Inc. is a cGMP and ISO 13485 certified medical device manufacturer that develops diagnostic reagents using proprietary enzyme and immunoassay technologies. These reagents are compatible with most automated chemistry analyzers and are offered in user-friendly formats. The company's product line includes test kits for the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, liver disease, cancer markers, renal disease, diabetes, sepsis, and electrolytes. This role is within the product formulations team, focusing on biochemistry and immunology-based reagent manufacturing under general direction.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related discipline and one or more years of related experience working in an academic or industrial biology or microbiology laboratory, or equivalent professional experience.
  • General understanding of biological/enzymological/biochemical/chemistry theories and principles.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory protocols, pipetting, pH, and stock solution making.
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs of liquid filled carboys.
  • Ability to interpret data and identify and analyze issues, contributing solutions to moderately complex problems.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to use basic office suite/scientific software and knowledge of computer operations and applications.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours as required.

Responsibilities

  • Completes production records, performs data analysis, and interacts with the Quality Department.
  • Maintains confidential and sensitive electronic and hard copy records.
  • May participate in the development of operating procedures and prepares reports as requested.
  • Maintains a safe GMP laboratory environment, recognizes, and reports any abnormal events or circumstances.
  • Works in the manufacturing team focusing on clinical diagnostic reagent manufacturing, in-process testing, and data analysis.
  • May assist with product assembly and packaging.
  • Assists Diazyme in achieving product order timeliness, preparation & inventory goals.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established SOPs.
  • May participate in continuous improvement projects and prepares reports as requested.
  • Maintains and updates a variety of confidential and sensitive electronic and/or hard copy records and/or files.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.
