About The Position

Walsworth-Eau Claire is seeking a Bindery Machine Operator to work in a clean, climate-controlled production environment. The operator reads bindery tickets and other written instructions and performs duties to ensure quality products are produced safely and efficiently. This full-time role is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, working three 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• One year of experience in bindery operations.
• Ability to remain organized and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures, and related materials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Machine operator or other manufacturing experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain assigned machinery.
• Troubleshoot assigned machinery according to company procedures and practices to support efficiency, quality, and the production schedule.
• Read and understand job-related written information and instructions.
• Strive to meet or exceed departmental and company goals.
• Maintain accurate counts.
• Move and organize scheduled work for assigned machinery.
• Monitor production and quality and recommend process improvements.
