About The Position

Walsworth-Eau Claire is hiring a full-time Bindery - Operator II to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain bindery equipment in a clean, temperature-controlled, safe work environment. Equipment may include Hunklers, collators, 3-knife trimmers, and folders. The role supports production schedules and quality standards, helps meet departmental and company goals, and contributes to continuous improvement. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with overtime possible based on production requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 6 months of experience in a bindery role.
Ability to remain organized and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures, and related materials.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong customer service skills.
Ability to communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly.
Ability to work required overtime beyond the standard 40-hour workweek depending on production requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail.
Experience with AS400 or Monarch.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain assigned machinery.
Troubleshoot machinery according to company procedures and practices to support efficiency, quality, and production schedules.
Read and understand written information related to assigned jobs.
Strive to meet or exceed departmental and company goals.
Accurately interpret and apply department policies, procedures, and job instructions.
Communicate with incoming shift personnel to support smooth transitions and minimize disruptions.
Maintain accurate counts.
Follow Walsworth safety procedures.
Move and organize scheduled work for assigned machinery.
Assist in training new Bindery Operators.
Monitor production and quality and recommend process improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
