About The Position
The Bindery machine assistant will either assist in the setup and operation of perfect bind pockets and/or set up and run the various offline equipment throughout the department. This job is 4 days a week, 10 hours a day with mandatory overtime on Fridays if needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
Responsibilities
- Be able to perform all Bindery Inspector job duties.
- Assist in machine set-up and operation of off line equipment or perfect bind pockets.
- Included in this process is setting up and fine tuning pockets, stackers, set up and monitor calipers, and inspect working parts to ensure machine is functioning properly.
- Use maintain, and support Lean activities such as 5s, TPM tasks and MDI
- Assist with maintenance and lubrication and replacement of worn parts on applicable equipment
- Follows all required safety procedures such as: PPE's, Ergonomics, Chemical Hazards, etc.
- Perform knife changes on applicable equipment.
- Move product into and away from the binder
- Assist with agency employees
- Other duties as directed
