About The Position

The Mechanical Bind Operator 3 supports the Packaging and Fulfillment team by performing hands-on mechanical bind operations, assisting with daily make-readies, operating mechanical equipment, and inspecting book quality. This role contributes to on-time production by aligning with daily schedules, maintaining a safe and organized work area, and performing basic preventive maintenance and housekeeping. The position requires reliability, attention to detail, and effective communication to collaborate with supervisors, team members, and cross-functional partners. This is a rotating-shift role that provides on-the-job training and opportunities for growth within the company.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in learning mechanical processes.
• Strong work ethic, safety awareness, and the ability to work well in a team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Reliability and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading and speaking).
• Willingness to learn, contribute, and grow.
• Ability to work flexible shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Bindery Operator Experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Runs the Womako Spiral Equipment
• Assist with daily Mechanical Bind operations, including making readies, operating mechanical equipment, and inspecting mechanical book quality.
• Support production schedules to help keep projects on track.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment (PPE provided; safety training as required).
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and housekeeping (tool organization, housekeeping, equipment checks).
