About The Position

Walsworth-Eau Claire (formerly known as Documation) is seeking talented individuals to join their growing team as a Bindery Machine Operator. In this full-time, weekend shift position, the operator will be responsible for reading and understanding bindery ticket instructions and all forms of written instructions to ensure the production of a quality product in a safe and efficient manner. Walsworth-Eau Claire has a thirty-year history of producing quality printed solutions in the Chippewa Valley, specializing in print automation, sophisticated binding solutions, and distribution services for a nationwide client base. The company emphasizes continuous improvement and utilizes current technology, providing employees with the necessary tools to produce exceptional products in a clean, temperature-controlled, and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and one year experience in Bindery Operations.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines with sound attention to detail.
  • Machine operator or other manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to remain organized and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills.
  • Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, run, and maintain assigned machinery.
  • Troubleshoot assigned machinery according to company procedures and practices to assure efficiency and quality to meet the required production schedule.
  • Read and understand the written information pertaining to the job.
  • Strive to meet or exceed departmental and company goals.
  • Maintain accurate counts.
  • Move and organize scheduled work for assigned machinery.
  • Monitor production and quality to make recommendations on process improvements.
