About The Position

Forum Communications Printing is seeking a dependable and motivated individual with basic knowledge of bindery and finishing processes to join their production team. This role offers a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with machinery, learning new skills, and taking pride in producing quality work. The Bindery Machine Operator will operate and assist with a variety of finishing equipment used to turn printed materials into finished products. Hands-on training will be provided to develop machine-operating skills.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of bindery and finishing processes.
• Some experience with printing, bindery, manufacturing, or production equipment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Dependable with good attendance and a positive attitude.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials as needed.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate bindery and finishing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with machine setup, adjustments, loading, and unloading.
• Follow job tickets and production instructions.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Stack, package, and prepare completed products.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and housekeeping.
• Identify and report equipment or quality issues.
• Work with the production team to meet quality and production schedules.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
