About The Position

BPA is seeking a BIM Modeler – Mechanical Building Systems to join their team. This role involves developing, coordinating, and maintaining mechanical BIM models for various building projects, including new construction, interior renovations, and retrofits. The BIM Modeler will collaborate with engineers, CAD technicians, and multidisciplinary teams throughout the design and construction phases, focusing on high-quality building projects. This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented individual passionate about BIM coordination and constructible design to make a significant impact.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Building Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–7 years of experience in mechanical BIM modeling within the building systems industry
  • Strong proficiency in Revit (Mechanical); AutoCAD experience is an asset
  • Working knowledge of mechanical building systems and basic understanding of applicable codes and standards
  • Familiarity with Office 365 and common project collaboration platforms
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and design intent
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, and related systems) using Revit
  • Translate engineering concepts, sketches, and calculations into accurate, coordinated BIM models and construction documents
  • Support BIM coordination and clash detection with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines
  • Implement project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), firm standards, and modeling best practices
  • Assist in the production of drawings, schedules, and quantities extracted from BIM models
  • Incorporate site survey information, field conditions, and as-built data into models
  • Manage model updates and revisions through all project phases
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve design and coordination issues efficiently
