About The Position

ARCO/Murray Engineering is seeking a BIM Modeler to join our Mechanical Engineering Design Group based in Downers Grove, Illinois. This role will be responsible for modeling complex projects from Industrial, Process Solutions, Entertainment, Controlled Environment Agriculture, Commercial, to Manufacturing facilities. Requirements

  • 1-5 years of modeling experience with mechanical, plumbing and/or process systems for industrial and commercial buildings
  • Degree related to BIM or Construction related design/modeling
  • Experience using Revit
  • Experience producing permit and construction drawings
  • Experience working on Design/Build projects is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Model mechanical, plumbing, and process piping systems using Revit
  • Create and maintain 3D equipment models to show final utility connections and coordinate different subcontractor trades
  • Apply basic knowledge of building codes, industry standards and other criteria in the development of project designs
  • Develop deliverable drawings for schematic, permit, construction, shop, and fabrication level of detail projects
  • Create material takeoff reports to aid in project estimating and procurement
  • Collaborate with design and construction team to optimize design, run Navisworks coordination meetings, and prepare clash detection reports
