About The Position

The BIM Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes throughout the design and construction lifecycle of projects. This role involves developing BIM execution plans, facilitating collaboration among project stakeholders, managing BIM models, ensuring quality control, and providing training and support. The BIM Manager will also administer Autodesk Forma for coordination purposes and stay current with industry standards and best practices.

Requirements

At least three years of experience as a BIM Manager or in a similar role within the design or construction industry.
Proficiency in design and modeling software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
Proficiency in other relevant platforms such as Procore.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret data and make well-informed decisions.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
In-depth knowledge of design-build project delivery.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement BIM execution plans for design and construction projects.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to define BIM goals, standards, and protocols.
Generate a preliminary 3D model for pre-construction and estimating activities.
Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members (architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors).
Ensure efficient utilization of BIM tools and processes by all parties.
Extract structural, piping, ducting, lighting, and other quantities from the 3D model.
Oversee the creation, organization, and management of BIM models, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Perform clash detection and resolution to identify and resolve conflicts between building systems.
Conduct quality control checks on BIM models and associated data for accuracy and completeness.
Verify that models comply with project specifications and standards.
Integrate the Master Schedule into general 4D schedules and simulations.
Administer Autodesk Forma, including establishing project folders and managing user permissions.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure proper configuration and maintenance of project access and folder structures in Autodesk Forma.
Provide training and support to project team members on BIM tools, processes, and workflows.
Assist in the adoption and implementation of BIM technologies.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies related to BIM.
Ensure the project team adheres to BIM standards to drive continuous improvement.
