About The Position

The BIM Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves developing BIM execution plans, facilitating collaboration among project stakeholders, managing BIM models, ensuring quality control, and integrating schedules for 4D simulations. The BIM Manager also provides training and support, stays updated on industry best practices, and administers platforms like Autodesk Forma. A key aspect of this role is ensuring the accurate and efficient use of BIM tools and workflows to enhance project delivery.

Requirements

At least three years of experience as a BIM Manager or in a similar role within the design or construction industry.
Proficiency in design and modeling software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
Proficiency in other relevant platforms such as Procore.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret data and make well-informed decisions.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Nice To Haves

Experience with industrial projects.
Strong background in structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
In-depth knowledge of design-build project delivery.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement BIM execution plans for design and construction projects.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to define BIM goals, standards, and protocols.
Generate a preliminary 3D model for pre-construction and estimating activities.
Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members (architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors).
Ensure efficient utilization of BIM tools and processes by all parties.
Extract structural, piping, ducting, lighting, and other quantities from the 3D model.
Oversee the creation, organization, and management of BIM models, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Perform clash detection and resolution to identify and resolve conflicts in the virtual environment.
Conduct quality control checks on BIM models and associated data.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of models against project specifications and standards.
Integrate the Master Schedule into general 4D schedules and simulations.
Establish and manage project folders on Autodesk Forma, coordinating user permissions and access.
Provide training and support to project team members on BIM tools, processes, and workflows.
Assist in the adoption and implementation of BIM technologies.
Stay up-to-date with the latest BIM industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Ensure project team adherence to BIM standards and drive continuous improvement.
