About The Position

VIATechnik is seeking a BIM Manager for its Studio A100. This role is responsible for leading BIM projects across various sectors including retail, restaurant, multi-site, and capital programs. The BIM Manager will act as a trusted advisor to clients, managing projects from scope and budget to delivery, owning Revit models, content, templates, and standards, and providing training to both internal teams and clients. The position requires an individual who can operate with independence, identify needs, propose solutions, and bring new ideas, including AI, to the forefront. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Chicago office, requiring 1-3 days per week in the office. The role offers autonomy, variety, visible impact, and the support of a global BIM and reality capture team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of expert Revit experience.
  • 3+ years as a BIM Manager or BIM Lead.
  • Expert modeling, drawing, parametric family, and template skills.
  • Content management and data governance experience.
  • Experience running projects, including scope, budget, work plans, and tracking.
  • Experience training teams and clients in Revit.
  • A consulting mindset.
  • A White Glove approach to client service.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity.
  • A record of working independently.
  • Genuine curiosity about new tools, including AI.
  • Ability to work from our Chicago office 1 to 3 days per week.
  • US work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead BIM projects across retail, restaurant, multi-site, and capital programs.
  • Manage projects end to end, including scope, budget, and delivery.
  • Own Revit models, content, templates, and standards.
  • Train internal teams and clients on BIM and Revit.
  • Identify, implement, and measure automations or process improvements to reduce production or QA time.
  • Take ownership of project scope, budget, and schedule, aiming for high milestone delivery.
  • Lead client challenges from discovery and options to recommendation and implementation, especially those starting without a clear answer or defined scope.
  • Bring new ideas, including AI, to the team.
