AECOM is seeking a highly motivated BIM Document Control Specialist II to join their Los Angeles Architecture studio. This role is pivotal for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Team USA project, where AECOM is the Official Venue Infrastructure Partner. The scope includes infrastructure architecture, engineering, planning, program management, and construction management for the venue infrastructure program. Beyond the Olympics, AECOM contributes to the city's infrastructure in energy transition, water security, mobility, sports, education, public safety, climate adaptation, and carbon reduction. The US West Buildings + Places practice offers opportunities across various project typologies like Science & Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Commercial, Aerospace, Higher Education, Industrial and Process, Transportation, Aviation, Sports, and Federal market sectors. The team of Architects, Planners, and Engineers aims to incorporate beauty, sustainability, resiliency, equity, and innovation in their projects. The successful candidate must be familiar with BIM technology and Document Controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Familiar with BIM technology and Document Controls.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree plus 4 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and managing the Common Data Environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud) to store and organize BIM models and documentation.
  • Tracking revisions, managing data exchange (IFC, COBie), and ensuring only the latest, approved documents are used, preventing the use of obsolete files.
  • Auditing BIM models and documents for compliance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and established project standards.
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Participates with other team members to achieve common goals.
  • Troubleshoots problems of low complexity and recommends appropriate action.
  • Effectively contributes to team goals.
  • Provides document management and project controls support which includes the receipt, inventory, audit, tracking, storage, retrieval and distribution of both classified and unclassified electronic, paper and other media project data and documents according to company policy, and proper procedures for the projects.
  • Manages the set up and maintenance of document control / records management for multiple projects and Project Managers.
  • Ensures that all local practices and activities comply with company policies and procedures.
