BIM Designer
About The Position

The company has evolved and diversified, providing an array of electrical construction services from Design/build and pre-construction to underground, data/comm and specialty systems. Now, we’re looking for an experienced BIM Designer to bring their expertise and passion for digital design to our collaborative, close-knit team. As a BIM Designer, you’ll play a critical role in transforming design concepts into detailed, buildable plans using cutting-edge software tools. You’ll collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and fellow designers to model, coordinate, and deliver electrical systems for commercial and industrial construction projects.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in BIM modeling/design, preferably in electrical contracting
- Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks
- Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial/industrial settings
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed electrical BIM models using Revit and Navisworks
- Participate in clash detection and coordination meetings with other trades
- Create detailed shop drawings, layout plans, and installation documentation
- Work closely with project teams to ensure constructability and accuracy
- Stay current with BIM best practices and construction technology trends
