About The Position

Our Fort Worth, Texas (TX) office is looking for a Revit Operator or Designer with 8+ years of experience to join our Water/Wastewater team! This role involves implementing and managing drafting and plan preparation standards, developing technical drawings and plans, and performing quality checks on drawings and plans of substantial complexity. The position requires minimal supervision, knowledge of engineering principles, and the ability to suggest design changes. The BIM Designer will maintain the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) database for projects, supervise and train Revit staff, and provide training and support to project teams on BIM tools and technologies. Coordination of work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control is essential, along with developing familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in engineering design and support using BIM/CAD software
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products
  • Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Willingness to mentor and teach others
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
