About The Position

EXP is searching for a BIM Coordinator to be part of our growing and dynamic New York office. This role involves utilizing Revit and AutoCAD to generate drawings based on specific project requirements, preparing construction documents including specifications, and initiating projects by setting up appropriate file structures and BIM standards to meet client requirements. The BIM Coordinator will manage model and drawing production across multiple disciplines, provide technical assistance to team members regarding BIM, ensure quality control of models and drawings, and work closely with engineers to assemble complete BIM project drawings in Revit. Additionally, the role requires using clash detection software to resolve conflicts in virtual 3D space and performing site visits as needed.

Requirements

Experience utilizing Revit for building design is preferred, however, experience in building trades is an acceptable alternative.
High School diploma required.
Multidiscipline coordinating experience with process mechanical systems, electrical systems, civil infrastructure systems and structural systems.
Experience with 3D and parametric design and a functional understanding of building information modeling (BIM).
Experience utilizing Autodesk Revit software to produce architectural drawings.
Ability to utilize Autodesk Revit application to produce construction documents including floor plans, sections, callouts, 3D views, and schedules, in a timely fashion.

Nice To Haves

Bachelors Preferred.
Technical school certificate for training in the use of Revit or Associates Degree with Technical and Revit training preferred.

Responsibilities

Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to generate drawings based on specific project requirements.
Preparation of construction documents, including specifications.
Project initiation, setting up and establishing new projects with appropriate file structures and BIM standards to meet the clients’ standards.
Management of model production and drawing production involving multiple disciplines.
Advise and provide technical assistance to team members relating to BIM.
Ensure model and drawing quality control.
Work closely with engineers to assemble complete BIM project drawings in Revit.
Utilize clash detection software to resolve conflicts in virtual 3D space.
Perform site visits as needed.
