About The Position

The Schneck Patient Financial Services team is looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to join our department as the next Billing Representative. In this position, you will work with Schneck's amazing patients to submit their insurance claims and follow up with payers to secure payment for services. Requirements

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED/HSE accredited by the State Board of Education
• Minimum: 1 year experience in physician office or related medical billing or coding field
• Experience with medical terminology, healthcare insurance billing procedures and regulations

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree in medical or business related field or certification in medical billing and coding
• 1-2 years experience in physician office

Responsibilities

• File health insurance claims to multiple payers accurately and within timely filing limits
• Follow up on outstanding AR, solving problems and closing gaps to ensure appropriate and timely payment
• Work credit balances within assigned split
• Assist patients with questions about their insurance claims and outstanding balances
• Provide excellent customer experiences
