About The Position

This role involves processing inbound and outbound paperwork for products received and shipped to customers, suppliers, and outside warehouse locations. The Billing Clerk will also plan and expedite loads for on-time deliveries. The position requires creating load plans, maximizing trailer utilization, scheduling customer shipment appointments, and communicating with various departments regarding inbound and outbound logistics. Key responsibilities include confirming load plans against closed trailer reports, printing Bills of Lading (BOL), updating BOLs, handling handwritten BOLs for specific items, scheduling bale trailer pickups and deliveries, receiving materials in HRMS, filing important documents, attaching DOT paperwork with fuel receipts, maintaining a daily shipping log, distributing daily paperwork, and communicating with Pratt Logistics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer (MS Excel and MS Word)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as bill of ladings, packing slips, reports, operating and maintenance instructions, training and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write shipping reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form
  • Ability to solve a variety of problems and deal with situations where limited information or standardization exists
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, costs, proportions, and volumes
  • Computer literate (MS Office including Word and Excel), data entry skills
  • Application knowledge of products and production processes
  • Quality standards – both ISO and QS

  • Preferred candidates with experience in manufacturing in the corrugated box industry.

Responsibilities

  • Create Load Plans, maximize trailer utilization
  • Schedule Appointments – Customer Shipments
  • Communicate department-to-department on Inbound/Outbound for all departments
  • Billing – confirm Load Plan to Closed Trailer Report and print BOL
  • Update BOL
  • Hand written BOL – (Bale Trailers/Tooling)
  • Bale Trailers – schedule pick up and/or delivery
  • Receive - Material/Sheets/Farm Outs/Tooling in HRMS
  • Filing (Factor Ticket Masters, BOL)
  • Attached DOT paperwork with fuel receipts
  • Daily Shipping Log (print, verify and distribute)
  • Distribute daily paperwork to departments at end of day (BOL, Receivers)
  • Communicate with Pratt Logistics on inbound/outbound requirements
