We're looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Houston. In this role, you'll be responsible for processing invoices, creating sales orders, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring billing information is completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Requirements

  • Must reside within 60 miles of our Houston location
  • Minimum one year of administrative, billing, or office experience
  • Strong research, problem-solving, and issue-resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional telephone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the fuel, transportation, logistics, or related industry
  • Experience using SAP
  • Experience with invoicing, billing, or order processing systems

Responsibilities

  • Track and record fuel and other products through SmartLogix and SAP to generate accurate customer invoices
  • Create, maintain, and update Excel spreadsheets and reports
  • Create and process sales orders
  • Communicate with drivers and dispatchers to resolve discrepancies and obtain missing information
  • Respond to emails and provide timely support to internal and external customers
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and handle inquiries professionally
  • Generate accurate daily reports in a timely manner
  • Work across multiple software systems and platforms
  • Research and resolve open orders, unbilled liabilities, and paperwork discrepancies
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management
