About The Position

Under the direction of the Billing Director, this role is responsible for screening all billing and posting activities of United Medical Centers. The position involves performing all cashiering functions according to approved guidelines and protocols. A key responsibility is screening and assessing patients to determine their financial eligibility for clinic services, utilizing the Primary Health Care (PHC) Screening Tool and Automated Medicaid system to document applications electronically and refer patients to appropriate community programs. The role also includes providing information about United Medical Centers' services to patients and the general public, and ensuring compliance with State/Federal regulations, PCMH, DSHS standards, HRSA, and Compliance Standards.

Requirements

• Must have high school graduate or equivalent with some business courses preferred.
• At least one-year experience in billing principles, preferably in a health care environment.
• Cashiering experience, required.
• Computer experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in collection procedures, preferred.
• Knowledgeable in medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to type 40 wpm preferred.
• EHR experience preferred.
