About The Position

The Billing Audit Specialist is responsible for reviewing billing processes and transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance with company policies, and adherence to established procedures. This role identifies billing discrepancies, missed fees, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement while helping to reduce operational and financial risk.

Requirements

  • Experience in the areas of auditing, data analysis and project management
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated skills in the areas of critical thinking, problem analysis and problem solving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and/or experience in using other database applications
  • High motivation for success working both independently and part of a team
  • 2+ years’ experience in an applicable risk management, quality assurance or compliance environment
  • Associates Degree in Business or other related field required
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, graphs)
  • Previous experience indicative of high degree of organization with demonstrated success in handling multiple assignments and ability to meet deadlines even with shifting priorities
  • Able to sift through complex process material to extract and organize relevant information for documentation purposes
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of or experience working in the finance or auto finance and repossession industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and document billing audits for various clients.
  • Review billing transactions and processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify, evaluate, and document potential risks within billing operations and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to Location Services LLC’s policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare clear and actionable financial audit reports summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations.
  • Assist with developing and implementing process improvements based on audit findings.
  • Work with teams to develop and implement process improvements based on audit findings.
  • Provide guidance to staff on best practices to ensure fees are not missed.
