About The Position

Our Billing Associate will accurately manage and invoice customer accounts by utilizing management systems, working with operations staff, sales personnel, and counterparty personnel. This role involves invoice generation, data entry, billing verification, billing issue resolution, monthly reconciliation, reporting and process improvement. If you are detail oriented, customer focused, and have strong analytical and mathematical skills, then this is the job for you! This role will also require overtime from time to time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree to include an Associate's in Accounting/Business or similar field
  • Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Advanced computer literacy with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to relate to customers, outside contacts and our associates.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and generating accurate and timely invoices based upon contracts, volumetric information and utility/carrier parameters.
  • Entering billing and payment information into the accounting or billing system with a high level of accuracy.
  • Reviewing invoices for correctness, completeness, and adherence to company policies and contractual agreements.
  • Investigating and resolving billing discrepancies, disputes, and billing-related problems promptly.
  • Performing monthly billing reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately reflected.
  • Preparing and generating periodic billing reports for management and other departments as required.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency.
