About The Position

Blue Ridge Health is currently seeking a Biller to be part of our Patient Financial Services team. We are a nonprofit system of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) that works closely with communities to meet the ever-changing medical and behavioral healthcare needs of individuals throughout WNC.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• At least 5 years’ experience in medical billing required
• Familiarity with utilizing Microsoft office products (i.e. word, excel)
• Familiarity with utilizing multi-line phone systems, copier, scanner, fax and other office equipment.
• Familiarity with Medical Terminology and CPT-10 coding.

Nice To Haves

• CPT-10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bill claims with the appropriate insurer.
• Monitor and correct unpaid claims.
• Post insurer payments in the E.H.R system.
• Post electronic payments for various Blue Ridge Health departments.
• Support other PFS areas and functions as needed.
