About The Position

Oakwood Gardens Care Center is seeking an experienced Temporary Biller to support our business office team for an assignment of up to 6 months. This is a great opportunity for a knowledgeable SNF biller looking for flexibility while making an immediate impact in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment. The Temporary Biller is responsible for managing the billing and collections process for a skilled nursing facility, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, compliance with regulations, and proper reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers.

Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of SNF billing experience required
Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care billing
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Nice To Haves

Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) or similar systems preferred

Responsibilities

Process and submit claims for Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and private insurance
Ensure accurate billing in compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations
Review and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and rejections
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
Work closely with admissions, MDS, and clinical teams to ensure accurate billing data
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SNF billing guidelines and reimbursement processes
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility as needed
Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
Assist with month-end closing and reporting as needed
Communicate effectively with payers, residents, and families regarding billing questions
