About The Position
A full-time opening has come available for a Bilingual Staff Attorney to represent survivors of domestic and sexual violence to join an extremely honorable non-profit organization. This position would earn a competitive base salary and a great benefits package including insurance plans, health plan, vacation, pension, and other outstanding perks. The positions are located in the beautiful Dunmore area.
Requirements
- Active license to Practice Law in PA
- JD from an accredited Law School
- 1+ year in FAMILY LAW experience
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English)
Responsibilities
- Provide civil representation to program participants: including but not limited to interviews, filings, court appearances, and trials.
- Represent and advocate for petitioners in both civil and criminal contempt cases
- Provide support and training to law students
- Participate in local, state, and national activities specifically committees/networks sponsored by Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
- Litigate in precedent-setting cases at trial level and on appeal
