About The Position

As a Bilingual, Sponsor Support Specialist, you’ll help drive our business results by serving as a trusted reporting expert for plan sponsors, intermediaries, consulting actuaries, client auditors, and internal partners. You’ll provide guidance on Annual Information Return (AIR), Financial Statement (FS), and other regulatory and client reporting requirements for registered pension plans (DC, DB, IPP, etc.) and other group savings programs—from straightforward to highly complex. You’ll deliver exceptional client experience by consistently meeting quality and service standards, supporting key results for the line of business.

Requirements

  • University degree in Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Actuarial Science (or equivalent industry experience)
  • Fully bilingual (French/English); The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.
  • Knowledge of registered pension plan and group savings administration (DC, DB, IPP, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of AIR/FS reporting requirements prescribed by government authorities and of client/auditor reporting expectations.
  • Proficiency with Group Savings & Retirement applications/systems (e.g., SLX and/or MPS) and Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel).
  • Strong analytical, financial accounting, and investment skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in clear, practical terms to clients and/or auditors.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry-related courses such as LOMA or CEBS are an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process AIR/FS and other regulatory/client reports for registered pension plans (DC, DB, IPP, etc.) and group savings programs, from straightforward to complex.
  • Ensure reports are completed accurately and on time in line with audit & control standards, legislation, regulatory requirements, internal policies, and service level agreements.
  • Provide expert guidance and responsive support to plan sponsors, intermediaries, consulting actuaries, client auditors, government authorities, and internal partners regarding reporting requirements and deliverables.
  • Analyze and validate data supporting AIR/FS reporting, identify issues or control weaknesses, and recommend/implement mitigations to reduce operational and financial risk.
  • Support daily workflow coordination and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels, productivity, and cost efficiency; maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and practices.
