Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency required.
- Active Illinois SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement (or eligibility).
Nice To Haves
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide bilingual speech and language services within an elementary school setting, supporting students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations using culturally responsive assessment practices.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique needs.
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and related service providers.
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in accordance with Illinois state and district guidelines.
