Requirements

Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal) is required
2+ years of paralegal experience in personal injury or civil litigation
Familiarity with New York court procedures, e-filing systems, and litigation timelines
Strong drafting skills for legal correspondence, pleadings, and discovery documents
Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Compassionate communicator with a client-first mindset

Nice To Haves

Paralegal certificate or Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies preferred

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys in all phases of personal injury litigation, from intake through trial preparation
Communicate directly with Spanish-speaking clients, providing updates and gathering case information
Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and demand letters
Manage and organize case files, medical records, and evidence documentation
Coordinate with medical providers, experts, and third-party vendors on behalf of clients
Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support attorney case strategy
Calendar and track deadlines, court dates, and statute of limitations using case management software
