About The Position

Brown Family Housing is seeking a caring, energetic Bilingual Spanish Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide person-centered support that helps individuals live independent, fulfilling lives. The role involves assisting with daily living tasks, meal prep, and implementing personalized support plans (ISPs). The position requires comfort with technology, particularly navigating digital patient portals like the MyChart app/website to manage and coordinate care. The role also involves accompanying clients to appointments and processing urgent paperwork on tight deadlines, while respecting client physical limits.

Requirements

Bilingual Spanish (Required)
High School Diploma/GED
Valid CA Driver's License with auto insurance
CPR/First Aid certification
Ability to pass a Live Scan/TB test
Highly comfortable with technology, specifically navigating digital patient portals like the MyChart app/website.
Independent Problem Solvers: Self-starters who take initiative.
Availability for 9 to 23 hours a week, with flexibility for unexpected changes.
Ability to balance completing daily tasks while respecting physical limits.

Nice To Haves

Experience navigating digital medical platforms and coordinating appointments.
Experience with health portals like AltaMed and MyChart.
