Bilingual Sales Representative
About The Position
Gordon Food Service is seeking a Bilingual Outside Food Sales Representative to cultivate relationships, develop new business, and provide innovative solutions to customers in the food service industry. This role is responsible for overall sales and relationship management for existing and prospective customers within an assigned territory, including pursuing new customers, deepening existing customer relationships, and sales territory management. The company has been family-operated for over 125 years and is the largest broadline food distribution company in North America.
Requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish Required
- High School Diploma/GED is required
- 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience
- Maintaining a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record
- Ability to obtain food safety certification
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree and/or culinary certificate preferred
Responsibilities
- Pursuing new customers by researching industry and market trends, identifying and researching prospective customers, and developing and presenting sales strategies.
- Deepening and strengthening existing customer relationships through regular visits, business reviews, providing training on product offerings, and identifying opportunities for Gordon Food Service to add value.
- Managing the sales territory by balancing new customer acquisition with existing customer relationship management, coordinating visits, and communicating order status and processing updates.
