About The Position

Established in 2009, CASEY Construction Group, LLC's mission is to deliver trusted quality and distinguished service in drywall, floor leveling, and polished concrete, partnering with general contractors across the DC, Raleigh, and Richmond regions to build reliably, precisely, and with integrity. The Safety Specialist will primarily be responsible for day-to-day job-site safety inspections, ensuring our crews adhere to established safety protocols, and addressing immediate safety needs. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to identifying hazards, and constant communication with our crews and site management. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction safety, and some understanding of the unique safety demands of data center environments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • At least one (1) year of construction safety experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task with excellent time management skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work different schedules and be flexible in scheduling when needed
  • Ability to walk, stand for extended periods, climb ladders/scaffolding, and navigate a construction site.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and construction environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in drywall or interior trades is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support the Safety Director in daily safety operations across job sites.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for immediate safety questions or concerns from crews on site.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and audits to identify and document potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliant behaviors related to drywall activities.
  • Verify the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Deliver safety orientations and assist with daily toolbox talks by relaying key safety messages to our employees in English and Spanish.
  • Assist in accident investigations and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Maintain PPE inventory and safety supplies.
  • Foster a culture of safety and teamwork among field staff.
