About The Position

Mangone Law Firm, LLC is a New Jersey-based immigration law firm dedicated to helping new Americans obtain legal status in the U.S. We represent immigrants nationwide and are committed to excellence in customer service. We are looking for a motivated, passionate, hard-working individual to become our new Bilingual Removal or Criminal Immigration Staff Attorney. This role involves defending the future of families fighting for their place in the United States. We are seeking a confident litigator who thrives in high-stakes environments and is looking for a career with a deeper sense of purpose. The firm will provide training on immigration law, while the attorney is expected to bring their litigation expertise and passion for justice.

Requirements

Must be a licensed attorney and a member of the New Jersey Bar.
1–3 years of experience, ideally in criminal defense or high-stakes litigation.
Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
A deep alignment with immigrant rights and social justice.
A proactive disposition to master immigration law, bond representation, and removal defense strategies.
Based in New Jersey with a reliable vehicle to appear in person for court and ICE presentations in NJ, NY, and PA.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in Master Calendar, Bond, and Individual Hearings.
Develop innovative defense strategies, including Cancellation of Removal, Asylum, and Adjustment of Status.
Work with a dedicated team of paralegals and case managers to build cases.
Participate in "Consultation Day" events to evaluate case eligibility and explain legal options.
Review immigration court packages and humanitarian visa applications (VAWA, SIJS, U, and T Visas) to ensure they meet firm and USCIS standards.
Appear in person for court and ICE presentations in NJ, NY, and PA.
