Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience (in-house preferred).
  • Strong background in insurance operations and mid-level roles.
  • Fully bilingual (French/English); French proficiency is required for daily collaboration with teams and partners in Quebec.
  • Consultative, partnership-driven approach.
  • Experience partnering with schools, community organizations, and external networks to build diverse talent pipelines.
  • Proven experience using the Workday Recruitment module.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to lead projects independently in a virtual work environment.
  • Ability to travel to onsite Career Fair locations within Atlantic Canada where required.

Responsibilities

  • Full cycle recruitment, including marketing, sourcing, managing intake discussions, posting, screening, interviewing, and offer delivery, with a focus on exceptional candidate experience.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Leaders as a business extension, understanding roles and processes to effectively position opportunities for candidates.
  • Manage candidates by reviewing resumes, conducting bilingual pre-screens and interviews, coordinating next steps, and ensuring timely, transparent communication.
  • Manage recruitment within the Applicant Tracking System (Workday) to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and a seamless experience.
  • Execute offers by working with Hiring Leaders to outline competitive offers, prepare documentation, verbally deliver offers, conduct negotiations, and guide candidates through acceptance and onboarding.
  • Act as a brand ambassador by building talent pipelines, engaging passive candidates, and implementing innovative marketing strategies.
  • Partner with other HR COEs (HR Business Partners, L&D, Total Compensation, Benefits/Payroll, IT) to advance recruitment initiatives and projects.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for unionized hiring in Quebec, ensuring adherence to collective agreements and guiding hiring leaders.
  • Represent Medavie at onsite and virtual career events to engage talent, promote opportunities, strengthen the brand, and drive hiring outcomes.
