About The Position

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Bilingual Recruiter (English/Spanish) to join their Human Resources team in Reston, Virginia. This role is crucial for attracting and hiring talented individuals for field, shop, and skilled trades positions across VMG's commercial HVAC, Plumbing, Controls, and Mechanical Services operations. The Bilingual Recruiter will manage the full recruitment cycle, with a primary focus on hourly field and skilled trades roles. This is an in-office position that may require occasional local travel for job fairs and hiring events. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and experienced in recruiting skilled trades talent, with fluency in both English and Spanish being a requirement. The role also involves supporting onboarding and other HR initiatives.

Requirements

• Fluent in English and Spanish – required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recruiting experience, preferably supporting hourly or high-volume hiring.
• Experience recruiting within construction, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical contracting, or skilled trades strongly preferred.
• Experience with candidate sourcing and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple open positions and hiring priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to occasionally travel locally for career fairs, trade schools, and recruiting events.
• Must be able to work in office at VMG's Reston, Virginia location.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly field, shop, and skilled trades positions.
• Recruit for positions across HVAC, plumbing, sheet metal, service, warehouse, and mechanical construction operations.
• Source, screen, and communicate with candidates in both English and Spanish.
• Conduct phone screens and evaluate candidates based on experience, qualifications, and position requirements.
• Partner closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and hiring timelines.
• Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract qualified skilled trades and construction professionals.
• Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and other recruiting channels.
• Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future workforce needs.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Maintain accurate and organized candidate information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Provide a professional and positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
• Attend job fairs, trade school events, hiring events, and workforce development programs.
• Develop relationships with trade schools, community organizations, and workforce training programs to strengthen VMG's talent pipeline.
• Assist with onboarding coordination and other HR processes as needed.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, internal communications, and other Human Resources projects.
