About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring a Part-Time Recruiter for our Greenville branch. This role is 100% in-office and offers an opportunity to build valuable recruiting, HR, customer service, and staffing experience. The Recruiter will help connect job seekers with meaningful work while supporting local businesses with their staffing needs. The position requires flexibility as hours may vary based on branch needs, recruiting activity, and client demand. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable using technology, and able to work independently while staying aligned with branch goals.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work Monday–Friday, primarily from 1:00 PM–5:00 PM.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, as hours may vary some weeks based on branch needs.
  • Must be able to work in-office at the Greenville branch.
  • Must be able to work independently and stay productive with limited supervision.
  • Strong communication skills over the phone, in person, by email, and through instant messaging.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft products, including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to prioritize urgent tasks and stay organized.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and professional.
  • Great phone etiquette and customer service skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Prior recruiting, staffing, customer service, or office experience preferred.
  • Social media recruiting experience preferred.
  • Prior scheduling and planning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and placement activities for field employees.
  • Assist with day-to-day branch operations.
  • Manage candidate communication.
  • Provide client support.
  • Perform administrative tasks.
  • Recruit, screen, interview, and help place qualified candidates.
  • Conduct orientations and assist with new hire onboarding.
  • Complete and organize new hire paperwork.
  • Use the company ATS system to manage applicants and employee records.
  • Post jobs and source candidates through job boards, social media, and recruiting tools.
  • Schedule interviews, appointments, and follow-ups with candidates.
  • Communicate with applicants by phone, email, text, and messaging platforms.
  • Work with the Branch Manager to support weekly recruiting and staffing goals.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with candidates, employees, and branch clients.
  • Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone.
  • Assist with employee check-ins, attendance follow-up, and work performance communication.
  • Answer phones while managing computer-based tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records and prioritize urgent tasks as needed.
  • Support branch operations as needed during busier weeks or schedule changes.
