About The Position

The Bilingual Psychological Technician will be a key member of the Mobile Autism Evaluation Team, primarily assisting with autism and developmental evaluations. This role involves supporting various administrative tasks such as intake, paperwork, and records collection, as well as facilitating communication with families. A crucial aspect of the position is providing Spanish-English language support and interpreter assistance. The technician will also be responsible for organizing testing materials and supporting clinicians during assessments. The role requires extensive travel to clinics and community-based sites throughout Kansas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, child development, education, social work, or related field
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel statewide
  • Formal interpreter training (40-hour program) required or willingness to complete within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children and families
  • Experience with autism, developmental evaluations, or pediatric behavioral health
  • Medical interpreter certification (CCHI or NBCMI/CMI)
