About The Position

This role is for a Bilingual Packing Lead who will be the frontline captain of packing operations. The position involves ensuring smooth operations from the time chips leave the kettle room through packaging and coaching the packing crew. The work directly impacts every chip bag sent out. The team works Thursday-Saturday, with packing leads potentially starting a few minutes earlier than the 6:50 AM start time.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on your feet for a 12-hour shift
  • Willingness to work in hot, loud, and occasionally wet conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Prior food manufacturing or packing line experience
  • Leadership experience or a desire to grow into a leadership role
  • Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety best practices

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate packaging equipment, including weights, sealing, film splicing, and date coding
  • Support the team to meet quality, safety, and productivity goals
  • Engage across shifts to promote a consistent, collaborative, and positive work environment
  • Lead by example by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Perform metal detector checks, adjust machines, and ensure proper product flow and scale accuracy
  • Change film rolls and formers as needed; troubleshoot minor equipment issues
  • Ensure correct packing according to customer specifications (seals, weights, date codes, labels, etc.)
  • Monitor and adjust seasoning levels for quality and consistency
  • Inspect and hand-pack product at line speed with attention to detail
  • Handle product rework and repacking tasks as necessary
  • Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as trained
  • Keep accurate documentation and complete logs on quality checks, production data, and inspections
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors
  • Clean and sanitize production equipment and work areas per food safety standards
  • Provide lunch and break coverage to team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
