Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree + 4 years of experience in Social Services OR Associate degree + 6 years of experience in Social Services
  • 1–3 years of experience supporting individuals with: Learning disabilities, Behavioral challenges, Emotional disorders
  • Proficiency with: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams), Adobe, Zoom, Email and internet systems, Learning new technology and software platforms
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish
  • Willing to work Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:30pm with one late night for family sessions as needed
  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • Auto insurance with 25/50k liability coverage
  • Reliable access to a mobile phone and internet access when working remotely
  • Must successfully complete: FBI and state background clearance, Current TB test

Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs of children and families to identify helpful community resources
  • Connect families with appropriate mental health, educational, and social service supports
  • Travel throughout the community to homes, schools, clinics, and other locations to provide support services
  • Advocate for clients and families to ensure access to treatment and resources
  • Build positive, collaborative relationships with families — even those hesitant to engage in services
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic systems
  • Provide Spanish interpretation support for Therapists or Psychiatrists as needed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support successful client outcomes
